All well and good! But what does it look like in real-world application?

Below, we’ve created a possible use case focused on AI-powered support.

As AI is increasingly being adopted in businesses, ITIS AG has integrated its own AI features into ITISeasy. The goal was to design a secure, non-public AI integration based on existing and pre-trained large language models (LLMs). With this integration, users can chat within the application or use the AI for text creation, website generation, and translations.
But what’s the point if the AI can only access general training data and knows nothing about the company or its processes? That alone isn’t enough – there are already many chatbots with such features, but they don’t provide the kind of help we actually need from AI.
Alongside developing AI features that speed up tasks or even automate them entirely (e.g., scheduling), we also wanted to improve the chatbot’s functionality.  Here’s what using these features might look like in practice:

Imagine a support situation at a company that manufactures photovoltaic inverters. A customer calls. They operate a solar power system with multiple inverters. One of their inverters displays error code F48. We know it's an error – but what does it mean, and how can it be fixed?
Now we’d normally need specially trained personnel or even engineers to analyze the issue. Of course, error F48 and its resolution are documented. Somewhere... documented... but where? 

So we search the wiki – oops, wrong inverter model! The customer is growing impatient...   It takes time to locate the right manual. So far, so manageable – but what firmware version is the customer even using?  The support experience is quickly reaching a critical point.

Luckily, we have our ITIS tool “AI your own Documents”!   With this feature, we can simply ask the support module within ITISeasy.business:

"Hey AI, what does...


...F48 mean for our 30K inverter?"

AI Response: For the 30K model, error F48 occurs when the string voltage of the photovoltaic panels is too low.

The customer should check the following steps:

- Check the display and select PV input

- Inspect the voltage on Tracker 1

- If the voltage is below 50 volts, the tracker cannot operate correctly 

- If the voltage is 0 volts, no PV modules are connected to the inverter

- The customer should check the wiring

If voltage is present:

Ask the customer how many modules are connected to the string

- Ask for the module type to determine their nominal voltage

- Calculate the string’s nominal voltage: Number of modules × module nominal voltage

If the voltage is below 100V, too few modules are installed.  If it’s higher, there may be a wiring issue or a poor plug connection.

Next Steps: The customer should recheck the connections and measure the voltage at the string’s output with a suitable DC measuring device.
If the measured voltage matches the inverter's display, the inverter is not the issue.
If there is a deviation, an RMA should be created in ITISeasy.business, and the inverter sent in for inspection.

Finally, the agent asks the customer if they’d like the instructions sent via email or text message. The customer prefers email.​

Command to the AI: “Please turn these instructions into an email and send them to the customer.”

The customer now receives a complete troubleshooting guide – and your support agent is already free to handle the next support request.
